Tentura Camp

RusBAEvents russian camp, Black Rock City, NV

Hi All,

Welcome to the official page for the Russian Bay Area Events Burning Man camp - year 2010.

We will be building a mega-camp stylized for famous russian cult movie "Kin-Dza-Dza". The film is a dark and grotesque parody of human society and may be described as a dystopia. It depicts a desert planet, depleted of its resources, home to an impoverished dog-eat-dog society with extreme inequality and oppression. It is a cult film, especially in post-Soviet countries, and its humorous dialogue is frequently quoted. We are especially excited about doing this on this year's Burning Man as we feel it fits the Metropolis theme perfectly! "A ETO CHTO, NE GOROD?!!" :-)))

We are now building our Mutant Vehicle based on the 4WD ATV. The name, as many of you russians already guessed, is 'Pepelats'. The design will replicate flying police vehicles from the movie (see right side picture) - same shape, with rotating top, etc, etc.

Update (July 1, 2010): We got placed in THE BEST location - Esplanade street - this is the main street of the city! So excited. See us at Esplanade and 9:15!

Update (Aug 25, 2010): The Pepelatz Mutant Vehicle is completed and all ready to go!!! All prep work is done and 5 of us can't wait to hit the road this Saturday!

Specific plans for Pepelats II
